About the role
EmploySaffas is building a talent pool of South African-based senior software developers who want to work remotely for companies in South Africa, the UK and the US. This isn't a single vacancy. When a client role fits your skills, we'll contact you before your anonymised profile is shared. The work usually involves designing, building and maintaining web applications and APIs, owning features from planning through to production, reviewing code and mentoring junior developers, and working with product, design and QA teams across time zones.
Requirements
BSc or BEng in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. At least 5 years' commercial software development experience. Strong in at least one modern stack, such as TypeScript/React/Node.js, C#/.NET, Python or Java. Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or GCP), CI/CD and Git. Excellent written and spoken English. Able to work independently across time zones. Reliable internet and a suitable home workspace.
